Installation of a modern real-time monitoring sensor for Tecucel River level – support for the development of Flood Early Warning System in MULTICARE Tecuci urban scale demonstrator
 
The modern real-time monitoring equipment is represented by an automatic hydrometric station with a radar sensor for measuring the level of the Tecucel River. The importance of the location of such modern equipment is given by the fact that the data provided by it will contribute to the validation of flood warnings issued with the help of the Flood Early Warning System developed in the MULTICARE project.

The hydrometric station was located on a road bridge that crosses the Tecucel River, and data regarding the Tecucel River level values ​​are provided in a continuous stream starting from 19.11.2024. The station is hung from the bridge using a stainless steel box with a stainless steel support (with connections).






 

The data reception software has a friendly interface and allows their export in several formats including excel or txt. Thus, they can be easily taken over and integrated into hydraulic or hydrological modeling flows.
